Violet Gradient Hydrangea & FlutterFly® Petal Confetti

A violet gradient brings a softly layered purple palette to this blend of freeze-dried hydrangea and preserved FlutterFly® petals. The tonal colour and contrasting floral shapes make a beautiful companion to purple wedding flowers, romantic garden styling and elegant violet-themed celebrations.

Hydrangea adds distinctive floral shape, while soft FlutterFly® petals bring delicate natural veining and gentle movement. Together, they create a textured, slow-falling confetti shower with a romantic botanical finish.

Storage & component care

Store cool, dark and dry, and follow the care instructions supplied for the freeze-dried hydrangea.

FlutterFly® colours stored separately in an airtight container stay at their best for up to 12 months. This guidance applies only to separately stored FlutterFly® petals, not to the freeze-dried hydrangea or the complete pre-mixed blend.

If combining coloured preserved petals with white or lighter petals, mix only 1–2 weeks before use. The stronger the colour, the later we recommend mixing within that window to help protect lighter petals from colour transfer. Follow any shorter component-specific guidance supplied with your order.

Choosing & filling your packaging

If buying your confetti in litres, add packaging separately where required. We recommend sheer organza bags for mixes containing coloured preserved petals. Fill sheer organza bags or clear compostable packets 1–2 weeks before use, subject to the care instructions supplied for the freeze-dried hydrangea. If using biodegradable glassine packets for a mix containing coloured preserved petals, fill them only the day before use.

Coloured preserved petals are not colour-fast and may mark clothing, particularly with prolonged contact. All-white FlutterFly® petals on their own are an alternative and can be packed in biodegradable glassine packets anytime.

Before you purchase petal Confetti here are some essential tips

Am i ordering too far in advance?

All mixes are made to order, for preserved/ naturally dyed petal mixes, make sure they will be used within 2 weeks. Solid colours for example like All red or All White will be fine and at best for at least 6 months. Mixes which contain more than one colour will need more care, make sure to delay your order no earlier than 2 weeks before they will be used. You can delay your order at the checkout page. If required they can be placed into individual packaging up to 3 days before use.

For naturally Dried petals, these mixes will be fine to keep for at least 6 months and packaged into individual packaging 2-3 weeks before use.

Have i chosen the right packaging?

For preserved petal confetti we recommend white sheer organza bags or confetti cups, biodegradable glassine bags can be used with all naturally dried confetti, snowpetals, white flutterfly, and pure white petals. Mixes which have a heavy colour content may react with the biodegradable glassine packaging causing stain.
