Planning ahead

For a pre-mixed order, we recommend using the confetti within one week of receipt to help limit pigment transfer onto lighter petals. If ordering early, select “Delay my delivery” at the basket/checkout to time delivery closer to your wedding, or purchase the colours separately and mix them nearer the day.

Storage & mixing

Store cool, dark and dry. FlutterFly® colours kept separately in an airtight container stay at their best for up to 12 months.

Mix strong colours with white or lighter petals only 1–2 weeks before use. With bold FUSCHIA in this palette, we recommend mixing later within that window to help protect the white and pastel petals from colour transfer. For petals received pre-mixed, follow the shorter one-week guidance above.

Choosing & filling your packaging

If buying your confetti in litres, add packaging separately where required. We recommend sheer organza bags for coloured petals. Fill sheer organza bags or clear compostable packets 1–2 weeks before use, following the mixing guidance and shorter pre-mixed guidance above. If using biodegradable glassine packets, fill this coloured mix only the day before use.

Coloured preserved petals are not colour-fast and may mark clothing, particularly with prolonged contact. All-white FlutterFly® petals are an alternative and can be packed in biodegradable glassine packets anytime.
